We know you're bigger than Bradenton and we know how fun it is to be in your city (which we are a lot since we're so close) Go Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning,Tampa Bay Storm, Tampa Bay Rowdies and Tampa Bay Rays not to mention all the other fun stuff going on there! Size does matter and here's the scoop on that.......we understand that Tampa is a part of the metropolitan area most commonly referred to as the Tampa Bay Area which includes Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida. And the four-county area is composed of roughly 2.7 million residents!! Whoa! This makes it the second largest metropolitan statistical area (MSA) in the state, and the fourth largest in the Southeastern United States, behind Miami, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta.
The Greater Tampa Bay area has just over 4 million residents and generally includes the Tampa, Bradenton, and Sarasota metro areas.So, just where I'm headed with this plethora of information? Well...... Bradenton is part of the Tampa Bay area (we'll call you the mother ship) and we take care of our own!! We're a small town and everyone knows you get a better deal in a small town!! It's a beautiful time of the year to take "a drive" (bring'in back the concept) from the Tampa Bay Area to Bradenton.
